A Team Occasion is a company based in London that specialises in function hire equipment for events, parties and corporate events. Their new website was launched on the 19th January 2018.
The Brief
A Team Occasion were looking for a new website to replace their current website. Their existing website was created using a website builder that was included in their hosting plan and no longer suited their needs. The business already had a logo and brand identity we created a colour scheme for the website to match this.
The primary target audience for the website is people looking for hire equipment, such as popcorn and candy floss machines, for their party or event. The secondary target audience is people who are planning an event or party and looking for ideas and suggestions for it.
What We Did
Using use cases we envisaged how potential visitors would find the website and use it. Using the information gathered from these we were able to prioritise certain elements of the website as well as discover what the aim of visitors using the website would be. We developed some draft layouts of the website that primarily focused on the products that were available to hire, whilst also giving information about the types of events that the business covered.
The main aim of the design was to have all of the products that are available to hire clearly represented on the homepage. These products would then link to individual pages giving more information about each product. A secondary aim was to make mention of the types of events that are typically covered by the business along with links to previous events.
We created a slideshow/banner around at the top of the page to show images of products for hire and showing them at different events with quick links to more details.
Below this was to be an examples of work area, giving the last three Recent Events that A Team Occasion had worked on, what event it was and which products hired and what they would recommend for this type of event. Immediately below this would be all of the products that A Team Occasion has available to hire in some form of image grid.
The client was generally happy with the design and the vision for the website with just a few changes made.
Result
The A Team Occasion website was built as responsive (and viewable on all devices) from the ground up. We build all of our websites from scratch and this site was no exception. The website was created in HTML5 and CSS3 and as a theme for the WordPress platform. This gave A Team Occasion the ability to be able to add and remove any products, change prices as well as keep updating their Recent Events page.
As the client had purchased our Silver Website Package they were entitled to a year of free hosting and they decided to have their website hosted with us on our Business Hosting Package.

SEO and Optimisation
We ran a check of the sites position in the major search engines whilst we were building the website and again once we had finished and the site had been indexed. We used five keywords/phrases detailed below.
We will return and check this again in a few months and add a few more words and phrases.
I came here via A Team Occasion as I was looking over their website and was interested to see who made it. I have already emailed you my inquiry but I thought that I should also comment here and say how much I liked the look of the website. It is very easy to use and modern looking, especially on my phone.
Site looks very good. Impressed.
